'07 Wolverine SE 450 4x4
#1
So we just bought the new '07 Wolverine, Special Edition, 450 4x4. Metallic Black with black rims and black powder coated bumpers. Nice Looking!!! It is to replace my wife?s '05 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 that was just way to big for her, hard to handle, and was a "scaredy Cat" of the sand. But it did have a nice suspension. Fully independent felt like you were riding on pillows. See pictures in link below.
We took the Wolverine to Prairie City for its first ride after picking it up at the dealer. I must say that I am impressed with the way it feels. It has a lot of pep even for a CVT transmission. I was mainly worried about hills and the sand dunes with it, but my wife wanted an all around bike. I think this will be a great fit. I don?t see it having any problems in the sand dunes at all with the power I had it pulling me across Prairie City. More power than the Cat and 140 lbs lighter.
Got a pretty good deal also. $6099 OTD for the bike, plus have ITP Sand Star tires and rims on order. We will be making our first sand trip to Oregon Dunes in March. I may take that thing for a ride as much as my Raptor 700. End result, Yamaha made a good bike as far as I can see. I will post more after the sand trip.

They go pretty good in the dunes.. my wife rides hers everywhere we take the sport bikes. I had it out in the snow earlier in this storm and it is a tough little sucker, only got stuck once, and you wouldnt have gotten anything though where I went. I really like the new wolverines.
