Take the plastic off 1st that is on the front and around the tank. Take the heasder and pipe off next. If you start at the exhaust it will break apart easy. Work your way towards the motor. When you put the new header on make sure your seat is in correctly. Put the pipe on as it comes - no need to break at section with retainer spring. Remove the gas line to the carbs at the carbs not the tank. ITs easier to put back on. Also be very careful not to strip the alan screws that connect the airvents to the carb and airbox. If you strip them your screwed. Make sure you take out the jets inthe middle that say 145 and 150.

Ya the slip on will fit because I was going to buy one before the whole exhaust came out and they said I could run it untill they came out with the head pipe and then they would ship me the head pipe. Yes I have heard the raptor does run kind of lean from factory but running just the slip on you should but dont have to rejet it wont hurt it. You should always rejet even with the stock silencer.

I put on the slip-on because the guy had to order the jets but let me tell you it is definately a lot louder(comparable to no silencer) and powerwise I would say that it definately had some hp gains. Like this one hill I go up before I would shift up into second and it would gain RPMs but rather slowly but now it just goes right through second and is asking to be shifted into third. It screams, it is definately getting through gears quicker.

I heard that you can pull higher gears with just the slip on, keep me posted with the full exhaust performance compared to slip on if I heard correct you will loose some low end tourqe and gain alot of mid/top. Which if you seen the ctraptor against the stock in the new magazine the stock one beat the ct on in a short drag which makes perfect sense with everything I was told.

Xtreme165 informed me that when he call BG before about the slip-on they told him that he wouldn't have to rejet. I didn't but I will when I put the full exhaust on. CAll BG.
