If its not working just rebuild it.I think its only 2 screws to replace if you need too.Mine leaked when the gas was shut off so I just replaced the gasket that looks like a face.

Hey there,

I see you are interested in installing a new petcock. My raptor was running out of fuel when run wide open for extended periods, so i went with a high flow petcock from Pingel. I took the front plastics off, the seat and he tank. To install a stock petcock you just remove two screws and the fuel line and out it comes, slide the new one in and retighten the screws. To install the high flow Pingel you have to carve the tank plastic out of the way to make one big hole. Stock there are two small, approx 3/16 holes in the tank, for the Pingel petcock you have to carve the plastic out of the middle and enlarge the opening to a 1/2half inch opening. it was not a big deal, i did it with a exacto knife and the used a 1/2 half inch drill bit by hand to ream it open the remainder of the way. i also shoved a shop vac hose in through the fuel opening to suck up any shavings. It made a huge difference for me.

Hope this helps
Later
Tyson
