Default Banshee question

Buddy of mine is getting a banshee he's really excited.
I'm pretty excited for him too I've never gotten to drive a shee before.

My question is we found a 100% stock 2000 Banshee up north thats been used very little for 2500.
You guys think this is a good price for a 2000?

If it truely hasn't been ridden much that's pretty good but, I will have to tell you, you probable will not be that impressed until your buddy puts a few hundred in mods. A pipe and jet kit is a good place to start. It will be like night and day from a stock machine. A stock banshee is kind of like a yz 125, nothing on bottom but, will have a short screemin power band.

Stock compression on a Banshee is 125 psi at sea level. There should be no more than a 10% difference between the cylinders.

Default Banshee question

Thanks guys.
Couple more.

1. To put in a K&N drop in filter do you need to rejet

2. Which is better the normal NGK plugs or the Iranian NGK's?

Thanks guys we pick it up in a week. it's got year old gas in it so i thinking of draining the fuel adding fresh and running a little seafoam though it is this what you guys would do. Also drop the oil.

Thanks guys.

Yes, you might need to go up a size or two on the main jets. Your pilot jets should be fine if you are still using the stock air box with a lid.

As for spark plugs. You don't need iridium sparks plugs unless you are running alcohol, or you have and aftermarket ignition like a PVL. Otherwise the standards NGK's are fine.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Heres some things I would do to start off with.

1. Drain the old gas and use it in your weed whacker.
2. CLEAN THE CARBS!
3. Check the tire pressure
4. Re-Ring it, its cheap.
5. CLEAN THE CARBS!
6. Might want to check the reeds they might need cleaning as well
7. Did I fail to meantion you should prolly CLEAN THE CARBS?
