the old one looked cool. the new one looks ulta homo-ish. their waaay to expensive and i can understand why and stuff but still. if i had a raptor i'd put the extra money into that. and its already faster. hell i'd put the extra money in my quadracer and it will probobly be faster! i don't trust that aluminum frame though.i've seen how easy aluminum bends. if i had a raptor the firs thing i'd change on it is the a-arms to some steel or chromoly ones. i don't like aluminum on the high abuse parts one my quad. and i don't like the idea of that complicated fuel injection. i think that cannondale is gonna be a pretty good quad but its gonna flop. sorta like the tecate 4 (which by the way i like a lot)

I don't understand the comments that Cannondale is too expensive? This quad is being developed for very aggressive riding/racing and if it does not need many modifications to be competitive and reliable then it is not that expensive. Do you guys know what it costs for a typical high performance racing quad? Even the "B" class at the nationals most of the quads are in the $10,000 - $12,000 range. The Raptor may have enough motor with a pipe, but it needs major chassis mods that would bring it to at least $10,000 to be competitive on a track (but no amount of money will make it light enough). With a suggested retail of $6999 it is not that expensive - if it can be competitive in relatively stock form.

do you guys remember when they were first talking the cannondale mx 400 dirtbike? they were saying that it was going to be the best thing since bikes were invented...said it was going to spank the yzf 400 and 426! They turned around after they tested it and said it was the biggest peice of crap they had ever seen! Kinda sounds like the same thing that's happening here! I think it will turn out just like the mx 400. Probably the same exact engine as the bike....fuel injection and all. It's all just a bunch of HIPE to me.

I only hope that they dont look that ugly when they cut the fenders and remove the lights to race, Also since alot of bomb and honda people think the swing arm and parts of the raptor are so weak, What do you think of a Whole dang aluminum frame?
