I know this is the wrong place for this post but i figure it wouldn't hurt. I am looking to buy a pair of Alpinestars and can't decide between the Tech 8 or 10. The price difference is about $100, 350 for the Tech 8 anf 450 for the Tech 10. Has anyone here tried both & is it worth the price difference for the Tech 10. I ride mostly quad and sometimes take out my WR 450 for a ride. What is the consensus on this?

 

I had a pair of Tech 8s that I thought were bulletproof. I'd say unless you're racing every weekend or find your foot slipping off the pegs a lot, you're probably fine with the 8s. Check on eBay for the best deal ... I've had really good luck buying off of there.

I'll let somebody else chime in if they have the 10s...
