I have a 99 warrior and when i take it on rides it sputters after half throttle. I cleaned the carb and drained and cleaned my tank. But it still sputters and every now and then it clears out. What else could it be??

Check the park brake......when the park brake is on it has a control to keep it from reving and sometimes this thing gets out of adjustment and makes the motor skip......I had a warrior that done that

Also check the wires going to the parking brake.

check the green wire at the forward/reverse lever for a loose or corroded connection.I know this sounds strange but warriors are known to start cutting out in the upper rpm,s when this connection goes bad.

check your air filter.i had that problem after i cleaned my filter and when i put it in it didn't get lined up with the hole very good.so for a couple of days i was sputtering and then i checked the filter and it wasn't all the way in so i put it in correctly and it ran fine.99 warrior

My warrior did that to. It was the reverse wire, and the lever wasn't fully seating right. But later on the stator caused so stuff like that to. It had to be rewound. The timing may be a little off to. Have you had your valves adjusted?

The last time the valves were adjusted was a year ago when they had to tear down the bottom end. And i will ride it for 5 minutes and then it acts up and after i ride for a long time it clears out for 30 minuted then it runs bad again.
