Default oil filter help

So i recently discovered that FRAM brand oil filter are 100% useless. They use all paper products in their filters. And so do a lot of other aftermarket brands. I looked into it and found that Purolator makes a series called PureOne oil filters for about the same price as Fram and they are made of higher quality materials and are rated number 1. Anyone use these? I want to order one but cannot find any sport quads in their ATV oil filter cross reference. They only have utility quads listed.

Amsoil and mobile1 filters rank highest on my list. www.amsoil.com

http://www.amsoil.com/sitemap.aspx

Then go to powersports filter lookup. They should have it.

personally i think that oil filters are all the same except for fram and some other bad companies. if you buy an oil filter from honda it will be exactly the same as an amsoil or mobile1 filter (for the most part) and they cost less. unless its only yamaha who makes good oil filters, but its probably about the same. just make sure you put a little bit of oil on the gasket, or white silicone if you have it (it works better) just my 2 cents, but others might disagree.

You couldn't PAY ME to use a Fram oil filter... ATV, Car, Truck whatever - Junk... a friend of mine almost lost his engine because a FRAM Filter collapsed internally and he lost all his oil pressure.. luckily he had an Oil Pressure gauge... others have not been so luck and have Lost their engines because of a FRAM Filter being defective.. .

Not sure if NAPA makes filters for ATV's, NAPA filters are made by WIX, WIX is one of the highest rated filters out there... and VERY reasonably priced...

I checked the NAPA site, they do offer oil filters for atvs but not for some of the newer ones, like most of the 450's

I'll have to check NAPA online. Was in the store last Saturday, and he said he could cross reference the number, but didn't have a listing. But, he never did look either.
