Default 03 raptor dying

while still cold my raptor runs great but after a while it starts dying and missing and backfiring. it just started happening just out of the blue. it has a k&n with a slip on fmf. I rejetted it for this and it ran awesome for the last few months. im thinking maybe the carbs need to be cleaned but hoping somebody else knows something i dont. any help would be appreciated.

Prob NOT the carbs.

Carbs dont care if the motor is hot or cold, they still work the same.

My GUESS would be electrical. When electrical components start acting up, is usually due to heat.

They work fine cold, then once they get hot, they start to fail.

quadbart: he mentions that it ran great last few months?
Could it be a freaky rectifier/regulator breaking down and running down the battery.
See if the charging system is working properly?

Make sure you got a full tank of gas or run it on reserve before taking anything appart.
Seen some posts that this had happened to others.
