Default YFZ or Raptor

For my next quad I was think of a yfz 450......I like speed. I know this will have the power to move my fat *** with ease. But I was also curious if the 350 Raptor would do the same, I've never ridin a Raptor before, curious if they are like a yfz at all. I know the Raptor 700 will get me going too, but I also dont need anything huge. Some addition info would be greatful. Thanks.

I have a few friends in this same boat right now. Factors that will influence your decision will be exactly how fat your fat *** is, and what type of riding you plan to do with it. Also, how old are you and how much experience do you have? Post the answers to these questions, and I bet more than a few people will speak up to help.

Ok....
24 right now.
Fat ***....210lbs, but it will hopefully be droping.
For the riding, Lots of trails, with the detours with the jumps. On the trails there is also plenty of jumps.
I've rode when I was younger, but I'm getting back in to it, so I guess you could say, I'm rusty.

If you'll be riding on a lot of trails with the occasional jumps, then I'd have to say the Raptor 700 will be more friendly for you. It will have the power you crave and it handles trails better than the YFZ. For someone your age, the 700 should be fine. If you feel you're rusty, just take it easy at first until you feel more confident. I think you'd "outgrow" the 350 pretty quick.

I spent this last weekend on a 06 raptor 350 and I got around really nice, as far as the fat *** comment i weigh 315 pounds. So i would say that the raptor would do you good, also they are pretty damn comfy ride. I can even go as far as to say that after 2 days of riding I spent alot of the time sitting. And it still got around fast with out beating me up too much. I cant say a whole lot about the yfz, not a whole lot of experience on one it is a fun bike also from the little bit if time that I have on them. But over all the raptor.... You know from one fat guy to another.

Raptor 700. I just snagged a Raptor 700 SE and I love the dang thing. Fast, tons of power, great suspension, and a ton of fun. I think it sounds great for what you are wanting.

If you want fast forget the 350. The 700 and 450 produce about the same peak HP, just at different points on the power curve. The Raptor is a better all day ride, the YFZ handles better and jumps better, but will punish you more on the trail comfortwise.
