If it is cranking, I doubt that it is the cdi but I am not sure, when I have had a cdi go bad I get nothing at all.

i'm getting spark and as far as i can tell it's getting compression, spark, and fuel. it's just actually running. why this is i have no idea. maybe when i took the carb apart to clean it i messed up one of the adjustments. thats why i don't feel like dealing with it anymore cause it's just pissing me off. it will turn over and everynow and then i'll get a sputter and a back fire. thats about it.

try dropping some gas down the sparkplug hole, it usually works try some "quick start", maybe your not getting enough spark, i would try a new plug, hows your battery, is it cranking it over fast enough?

i've tried spraying ethor in the spark plug hole plus just spaying it in the carb still no dice. as for the adjustments on the carb. you just have to fiddle with it till you get it right. i know it's getting fuel in the bowl. and i'm pretty sure it's getting to the piston cause when i take the plug out and turn it over it has compression and i can smell gas on my fingers. but then again i could just be retarded and be smelling the gas i have all over my garage floor. the one thing i have noticed is the fuel air mixture screw? possible just a drain for the bowl i'm pretty sure it's the fuel/air screw if i take it out more than 1 half turns it wont stay tight. that might be my problem. the bad part is the guy who worked on my buddies 4wheeler who i was going to take mine to said he doesn't work on 4x4's...isn't that some bull. a motor is a motor. so i might be screwed.... so if anyone has any bright ideas i'd be more than happy to try them..thanks

your mix screw shouldnt be tight, it is held in place by tension from a spring. i would research what the setting should be for the mix screw, (ex: 2.5 turns out on my warrior) if you have the mix screw tight the pilot isnt getting any gas!
