Default how much power does a decently strong human have

Is there anyone on this forum who owns a dyno or has a good friend who will let you use his for free????

If so, see if you have run on it and see how much "power" a human puts out. If that's not possible, try a bicycle or tricycle on a dyno, just to see how much power a human puts out. I really want to know how much torque or horsepower a human puts out.

If I remember right, when I was messing with this stuff, I figured it at about a 1/4 of a HP. And even that is hard to sustain for very long.

I agree.....1/4or maybe 1/2hp .....I would think a 1/2hp electric motor could give us a run for our money in most circumstances

Yea, a 1.0hp winch can pull 3000lbs.

1/2 of 3000lbs = 1500lbs ... no human could pull 1500lbs straight up a tree like a 1/2hp winch could.
