2000 yamaha grizzly 600 4x4 automatic

i have a 2000 yamaha grizzly 600 4x4 auto that keeps blowing the seal behind the stator. what could be causing this to happen?

Gas may be leaking into the crankcase and rotting the gasket. The chances of that are slim to none though. I would just use yamabond to seal the cover on. that should hold it.
