ok well everything is stock except the cam i have a stage one hotcam in it, i went from 87 to 93 octane gas thoo could tht be why i heard on car valves they tick when u go up in octane??? im not shure my adjustments are as close as there gunna get i did them myself so.... any suggestions will help tyvm, John

 

performance cams have been known to tick. If you are sure you adjusted everything correctly I wouldnt worry about it.

 

Hotcams are known to be exceptionally noisy, because they use the stock valve springs, which in my opinion are too weak to begin with. The octane won't have anything to do with it.
