Default 2007 RAPTOR 700R HELP

i have a 2007 raptor 700 fi. i purchased it in february of this year. i have noticed it has started to backfire quite a bit BUT only when i am decellerating in gear. when i am in nuetral or have the lutch pulled in it doesnt backfire.. any ideas,, i am not very mechanical whatsoever but i didnt think that my new toy should bark at me like this...lol.. my thought is maybe i am getting too much fuel or maybe it just doesnt like the cold weather,, maybe my idle is to high... just looking for any help or if anyone has had this problem........thanks a bunch guys

Do you still have the stock exhaust on it? If so look it over real good and see if it has a crack in the head pipe or if you have either the stock or an aftermarket pipe check for any exhaust leaks and see if you can rule that out first.

Default 2007 RAPTOR 700R HELP

Hey i Have a 07 raptor 700 and started to have the same promblems. i adjusted everything on it and even took it to the shop.what ended up being my promblem was the gas i was buying. i took it out of town a couple of weekends ago and did not have any promblems. i got back into town and filled it up and it started to back fire again so now i buy my gas down the road and have not had any promblems. try going to 93 octane gas or change gas stations and i hope that will fix your promblem too. good luck man

What tcc said could very well be the problem. If a gas stations tanks and fill holes dont seal properly water will seep into the tank when it rains deluting the gas. Its a much bigger problem with higher octane fuels because they arnt used as much so they sit there longer.
