starting Kodiak

Does the Kodiak start in gear like atv magazine says it does?

absolutly, just pull back on the left brake and it will start, at least mine does.

Thanks for the info guys, I just wasn't pulling the brake lever in far enough. Thanks again.

there's a switch on the handlebar that activates the startup system - I took the switch out and filed down some of the brass so that I don't have to pull the lever back so far to start in gear

THERE IS A FACTORY ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM FOR THAT.
Follow the brake cable to the right hand side of the machine behind the front wheel. There is a black steel protection plate covering the adjustment area. Take some slack out of the cable and it will take less travel to activate the start enabler.
