If my engine happened to get a significant amount of water into the exhaust pipe would it be possible to start? The reason i ask this is because my kodiak was in a mud hole and the muffler was definately submerged, the engine quit, but it restarted without any problem, is it possible that nothing entered the engine?

Ive done this plenty of times on my yz250f,what I do is end my riding day there(well ride it home)then check the oil, most of the time after sinking it I change the oil, look for water in the aoil and a brown color..thats not good..If I spot water of any kind I break down the engine and clean it..Also look for water in your intake
