HELP!!! 04 GRIZZLY Doesnt have 4wd
#1
I went for a ride with a friend and i dropped into a mud hole, and something started grinding under the quad andthe front wheels werent turning. he pulled me out, and I took the side plastic off to find that my front driveshaft hascome out of my trans. is this a common thing to happen or did I screw something up? after searching the forum, I found that nobody had nothing simular to my story. I tried to seat it back in but it just wants to come back out. Is my frame bent or is there a quick fix? thanx for any info on this.

I have seen the rear axles pop out of there sockets, don't ride them with that happens stripps the splines just enough and the bull clip won't hold the axle in after that. Far as the front ones possible but haven't seen it on yamaha's

GA, check to see if you still have a compression spring between the driveshaft and transmission. I have had that spring to break on me twice which allows a lot of play between the transmission and front differential. That in turn will wallow out the splines on both ends of the shaft and the couplings on either end also. BTW that driveshaft isn't cheap...take good care of it!!!
