Where is the VIN # on a Yamaha Raptor 50 ?
On my dirbikes it is always on the steering head. To get to the steering head on the raptor quad I would have to take off some plastics...
Anyone know where that # is stamped?

Left side of the quad means sitting in the riding position and look to your left is left?
Or facing the front of the bike standing then left/right?
Sorry for stupid question!

I had trouble finding the VIN on my 2002 Honda quad. I Googled it and found where it is supposed to be. Even knowing where it should be it was pure hell reading it (confirming with the title to be sure it was not stolen). I was eventually able to read it but it wasn't easy.
I Googled your question and this came up.
The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) for the Yamaha Raptor 80 is located on the right hand side of the bike. The VIN is stamped into the lowest part of the frame just below the rear brake pedal.

Yamaha usually put some numbers on a white sticker visible when you take the seat off. Dealers can tell the year from this, but I would bet every Raptor 50 ever made has the same starter motor. The year code is the tenth letter or number of the VIN. 1 to 9 for 2001 to 2009.
