i had an 04 recon with a 42 inch plow and i just bought a grizzly 450 today. so i was wondering if the 42" plow would do ok with the grizzly. i noticed that the width is 43". so basically, should i keep this one or should i get a new one? thanks - Tyler

 

It will do just fine. Not sure what your lifting it with, but i guess that dosent matter much. I have a 54" on my wolvey it does fine. When you get into the deep stuff 6"+ i had to you a little skill but it did fine. you have 4x4 with low gear and front locker too

 

You would want a plow at least as wide as the quad right?

 

Honestly im not sure, by the time i angle the blade on mine im just wide enough to make a clear path for the quad. I would think that would help with traction too.

 

I agree with squeege. I'd look at least for a 48" plow to be a little wider than the ATV.

yea, the 42" angled just barely cleared it for my recon, id probably be lifting with a winch. and dang, i was hoping i wouldnt have to get a new plow
