bent blaster frame
#1
flipped the ol 04 blaster and bent the frame on the bottom between the front and rear ax, it leaves about a 5-10% angle on the front end that is off, my question is should I really worry about it or should I replace it? my wife rides it not very hard in the woods...i am 90% sure I am going to replace it but just curious on some opinions, also how hard is it to do myself, is it just a bunch of bolt ons that need to be removed? there is no section in my clymers specifically for swapping frames. I feel somewhat confident in work like this, let me know thanks for the help

id say replace it. sure it'll cost some money but itll be worth it in the future. as far as replaing, all u have to do is remove the plastics, engine, a-arms,swingarm, skid plates, steering stem, bars, gas tank, seat, airbox, shocks, basically just a couple of bolts and screws. if u feel confident go for it. the book will tell u how to remove everything individually

This is my opinion, take it for whatever its worth.
2-3 inches is a pretty big difference. If it were my wifes quad, I'd change the frame no questions asked. If it were my quad, I dunno. Worse thing is its not going to handle like it did. It might seem like it around the yard, but when you need to count on it, chances are it will be different. That in itself might lead to another crash. Also, when you bend a piece of tubing the wrong way, it weakens it alot. That can lead to the frame flexing the wrong way and possibly breaking and you know it will be at the worst possible time.
I have a friend that does alot of repair work on quads and dirtbikes. He also does alot of insurance work on them. 2-3 inches would be a close to a total for most insurance claims.
