I AM CONFUSED NOW... THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT MY GRIZZLY IS TELLING ME TO JUST GET A PIPE WITHOUT THE CDI BOX.... I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE MORE PROBLEMS WITHOUT THE BOX.... HAS ANYONE IN THIS AREA HAD TROUBLE WITH OVERHEATING ISSUES...

I have the GYT-R pipe on mine and have no problems with overheating. I don't live in TX either, but it was 80 yesterday and rode about 8 hrs. and had no problems. I did turn up the fuel thru the pod to 60. I have thought about a CDI box but they are kinda pricey. Don't think it is required with the pipe.

When i installed my hmf the instructions said do not use without programmer. Could cause sever engine damage. The stock grizzly runs lean . Yes u can adjust the computer fuel up but it is all guess work. I put a obeck programmer on, very easy to hook up and set. You also have adjustments for the pilot jeting which is your 1/4 throttle power. Thats a expensive bike to be guessing that it is running ok. Spend the xtra 200 dollars. it is worth it. The power difference is worth every penny. The peace off mind is priceless.
