No welding. . .
But, why do it?
I've done the slip-on thing before and just ended up getting the full exhaust later.
I put the Barker In-Frame Duals on this last weekend. . . the header pipe is MUCH bigger than the stocker. Flow all the way back is dang-near straight.
Don't waste your time / money with a slip-on. Remove the baffle out of the stock can and you'll get about the same gains.
