help me please

Default help me please

hello
my 87 moto 4 80cc wont start cold unless u push it, it will start with the electrc start after its warm please help the dealers in my town are jerks and wont help unless i pay them.

HI. You're problem may be your battery. It starts when it's warm because it's being charged. Try checking the voltage , it should be 13.5 If you can't check it, try taking it to somewhere like Autozone, they'll check it for free. Good luck!!!

hello thanks for answering it has a new battery in it,and sometimes it spits gas out the back of the carb could that have any thing to do with it?

Could need a valve adjustment, maybe the valves reseated if they're worn, or it could be running too lean. I'm betting on it just needing the valves adjusted.

hello
well recon doubles his bet!!! it was the valves well the intake it had zeroed out had to reset it. the setting are intake .005 to .010 exhaust .125 forgot the other half if i remember i will post it . thanks to the forum members who helped hope i can help u someday.

glad to hear you got it fixed. at least the intake valve hasnt beaten its way into the head yet. It will do the same as mine sooner or later, no compression and no start. The intake valve will be sucked up into the head and will need to be replaced.

ya i realize that it will need to be replaced sooner or later but later is always better than sooner.for now it runs like a champ

You aint kidding there, I just spent about 200.00 totally rebuilding the engine and having it bored over.25

was it due to the valve damage or did u figure while im here i will replace other parts?
