Default need help.

ok so i no sum1 who has a raptor 350 model and for the past few rides oil has been going into the airbox it fills about 1/4 way maybe less. i was wanting to know why this is happening . is it cause it is 2 cold or what ? its around mid 20's or 30's degrees that is . plz help

Default need help.

Oil into his air-box,Is that possible??It might be fuel mixing with his filter oil,in that case something is wrong with his carb..

But I know nothing about that machine,so I will bump for someone else to help you,good luck..

sounds to me like (blow by) I dont know what motor you have 2 or 4 stroke, but blow by is caused when the valve seats are shot and oil is blowing by going through the carb and ending up in the air filter area

hey booboobear it is a 4 stroke and if it is the vavlve seats what would have caused this to happen ?

Default need help.

You have a crankcase breather hose that runs into the air box. This is most likely were the oil came from and alot of times is caused by having to much oil in the quad and when pressure builds up it will go up this hose. There maybe other reasons it would come up ther as well. Some quads will do it if standed on end to long. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
