"Competitive streak?" Is that what bashing another's ride is all about?

I don't think so. Legitimate competition may be associated more with facing up shoulder-to-shoulder or wheel-to-wheel on the trail or the track. (Also, competition isn't exclusively a male province.)

Bashing others' rides seems more akin to cowardly, anonymously, induldging feelings of inferiority and compensating for low self-esteem, I think. (Maybe, compensating for other shortcomings as well, but we won't go there!)

Regardless, I fail to see any correlation between true competitive spirit and bashing.

Yeah, Im not saying competition on the trails shouldn't happen. What I was trying to say is, riders coming on here and posting that their atv, say its called a "tiger" is faster than everyone else's atv that isn't called a "tiger", just because they raced one "lion"(a fast quad) and beat him. Know what I mean?

I forgot to also say, It really gets to me, when people on this forum, say: mine is faster, I raced that quad and beat him. WELL I bet that quad that you beat in say a drag race, can take you anyday on the track. Why don't people consider this when saying mine is faster, they refer to one race, on type of race. DIFFERENT QUADS ARE BETTER AT DIFFERENT CONDITIONS THAN OTHERS. By the way, I am talking about stock vs. stock.

I think many of those that slam other peoples machines are the spoiled cyber brats that have always got their way and have always been told how "special" and "wonderful" they are. They were always allowed to win the games they played, they never had to clean their rooms, they got a new bike, computer, pet snake etc. every year and when they got in trouble in school they never really got in trouble because mommy and or daddy went into school and balled out the teachers and the princpal and even the lunch lady. Now because they obviously CAN'T win on the trail they MUST sit in their rooms and hide behind some grandiose sounding name like BIGBLOODYBASHER and tell everyone that he is THE most awsome rider ever and his machine is THE greatest and when someone points out that he only has an atc 70 he gets mad and says something like 'well my parents are buying me a Raptor for my birthday, christmas, 6th grade graduation, or just for being the best rider/son/genious in the world and its gonna be bored out to 1800cc's and have a turbo jetpack on it' because it will still be too slow for him. By this time the poor kids that are barely keeping the junker running that they got handed down are about fed up with supersnob and they start to come up with grandiose stories of their own like 'I just jumped the silo with my 1984 200m'. Before too long the whole thing degrades into a my dad is better than your dad thing like...[rich kid] 'I don't care if your dad can spit farther than my dad because my dad drives a BMW'...[poor kid] 'o yeah well my dads Massey Furgeson is gonna crush your dads car like an asteroid squishin a cat...'. Then some adults get involved by telling the rich kid, and by association the poor kid, just how stupid they are by saying that the other guys ride sucks and that his mother is ugly, fat, skinny, blond, auburn etc. and the kids reluctantly let the posting go. After a couple days [if that long] some other spoiled kid will get his skivveys in a wad or a new computer and then the whole thing starts over again. It is a proven fact that children, especially boys, that are under the age of 14 will act this way. Anyone that is 14 years old and one day that acts this way is in desperate need of analysis by trained professionals.

I ride a super cool Shee and I brag around my friends, just because I will show them what it can do. I may loose, but so what! Also, I do some Polaris bashing, but I actually like them. They are great winter machines.

Ride on!

I can see a little friendly bashing within a post, but what I dont get is these idiots that stop by the Polaris thread, and post a title like "Polaris Sucks", then, when you go to see what info they have to support this, they just say "thats right, Polaris sucks". What kind of idiots are thes people. In fact, one appeared today, posted by a very intelligent person named FastBanshee350. What a jackass.
