Well. . . recent DS 760 convert here. . .

Pro's:
Part, extra's, etc. Aftermarket for this bike is absolutely huge
The bike with the 3-mods is a runner. It idles up the ramp of the Toy Hauler. . . torque is awesome. . .
Nimble - I put the 21" haulers on but, with the 20" haulers you can whip the back end around like nothing. . . even with the 21's it is nimble
Looks - I've got the SE-2 (the blue one) - she's purdy in stock form. The blue frame and blue with carbon-fiber graphics is very nice looking
Fuel Injection - Awesome
Reverse - Nice
Weight - A lot easier to move this thing around when loading and in camp etc.
I can't wait to take her on the trails in Oregon!

Cons:
Comfort - in the rough sand, I'll miss my DS. The weight of the DS can handle the rough stuff like nothing (well except the Mini-Rail )
Ultimate Modification - I think the DS engine is a bit more solid if you are looking for a 110HP engine. The Raptor should be a very reliable bike when modified up to the mid 70's in HP.

Ive had mine for over a year with no problems. You will love the FI and the 700 has plenty of power and torque. Mine sat for four months over the winter and one day I just tapped the start button to see if the battery was dead and it started with just that tap after sitting.

While it may not be as comfortable as your DS it is still alot more comfortable than most other quads out right now.

Only real con is if your a big jumper the suspention is kinda soft and can bottom out easy. The SE/Gytr helps on this some or adding 450 shocks does as well.
