Default Grizzly 660 Grinding Noise Coming From Engine When Brakes Applied

Hello,

I have a Grizzly 660. When I go to stop and i do not press down hard on the brakes everything is fine.

But when I press hard on the brake I hear a grinding noise. It seems like it is coming from the engine area.

Could this be the EBS system. Any idea what causes this. It sounds like a grinding noise but it is coming
from the engine area only when the brakes are applied hard.

Thanks

Eric

Yes it does do this only on the back brakes. So I was wondering what it might be.

I went riding this weekend and I dont think it is the EBS becuase I was going down a hill and the EBS done just fine slowing it down without any problems. It really sounds like gears grinding though.

I am not sure.

Mine did the same thing. I dont know if its the same problem, but you might want to bleed the back brakes. I talked to the dealer and was told that it is usually because the back brakes are not grabbing hard enough due to some air in the line. I have not had the noise since I did mine. If its not your problem you should deffinatly get it looked at. If it is coming from your engine and not your brakes it could be serious. But it sounds like the same problem i had. Good Luck.
