Jetting for stock Raptor with Spark arrestor removed

Raptor77, sounds like fun. Definitely not a problem on the extra company, I usually have a crew with me also. I figure the more the better, it's kinda fun to roam the dunes with a pack of machines. Just to let you and anybody else reading this that might be there, we will probably be going back down next Friday-Saturday and will be staying at the Travelodge in Nephi. I think we will have approx. 10-15 people in our group. If you are down there look for me, I drive a lifted '00 Silver Superduty Ford truck that will have a 3 place trailer behind it. It's supposed to be in the mid-40's and sunny next weekend so it should be nice.

All I had to do is turn out the air /fuel screw an 8th of a turn on both carbs and this got rid of the lean condition on the bottom end. Fatten up your mains as needed by plug color on top end . Run it down a good strip with the cables tight { wide open ] and shut it off, with the clutch in. Check the color. The main will determine by temp. and altitude. drill out the slide hole that provides air to the diaphragam. clip the springs on the slides as well to allow less resistance.

raptor77 and DuneJammer,
I'd like to ride with you guys sometime. DuneJammer, I may have spoken with you at the dunes this last weekend. Was it you I was talking with about the 12-tooth sprocket? There was a B/W and a Blue Raptor, and a DS-650 parked not too far away.
BTW, I leaned out my stock Raptor and got a better looking plug, but it made only a slight difference - only on the top end. I later removed the spark arrestor and was able to high-mark about 15 feet further up the face.
I'm going to order the new 12-tooth sprocket this week.

Raptoid,
Unfortunately that wasn't me, I say unfortunately because I wish that I had been there last weekend. Was there on Thurs. and Friday last week though so I guess I can't complain too much. We should get together next time you can get down there so that we can race and compare notes
Did you get any DS650's to race you? I can't get anybody with one to race me, I'm not into talking alot of noise or anything I am just curious as to how they would match up. If I were to get beat by a stock one I would be OK with that.
Do you have paddles? I am looking to get some and am torn between the Sand Sharks and a set of Skat-Trak haulers. I know the Haulers would hook up better but I have a set on another 4 wheeler and I know they don't like to slide.
I am also going to get the 12 tooth sprocket ordered this week. I hope that Rocky Mountain ATV has them in stock.
See you on the dunes.
