Default K&N Air filter question??

I was reading up a little on this filter,it says it replaces the air box??Anyone know how to install one of these on a wolverine??It says it clamps right onto the carb intake,so does the whole airbox assembly come off??This does not seem to be a smart idea when running a lot of mud and water..Please tell me I have this wrong and tell me how this filter works and installs on stock air box,Thanks..

What you are talking about are called K&N pods. They do clamp right on the carb. What you want is a regular K&N air filter, which you use with the stock airbox.

Actually, what you want is a clamp on filter setup, such as Pro Design. The stock filter setup is horrible, and can leak, and ruin your motor.

For dusty condtions, a UNI or other foam filter is a better bet. But that is a whole other discusssion.
