Question for Grizzly owners...
#1
I notice that at high rpm I can hear my Grizz pinging. Anyone else notice this?
The dealer said it is due to the size of the piston but I have a feeling it's running lean at high rpm + mid to high throttle. This would also explain the way some riders find that their Grizz hits 40 something right away and then takes awhile to get up the 50's. If the engine is starving at higher RPM's due to too small jetting that might explain it. I suppose Yamaha may have done this on purpose.
I think this may be a good argument for putting in a jet kit if just to save my piston...

Yup mine does it too. have been pretty worried about it though my dealer insists its fine. Although he is the same guy who told my the hole in the lower ball joint on my right front was supposed to be there, so the greece could "breath"
