I like the new little 250, the specs on it are alot better than the other 250's in its class. I wish it would of came with a sport clutch option for a real beginner but I think yamaha did a good job on it anyways.
Not to surprised nothing else changed much.

yamaha site- canadian, its under the sport section, not pure-sport for some reason (even though it DOES have a manual clutch)
btw, is it e start?
i wonder how the 250 compares to the 300ex or 350, i bet it beats the 300 with only minor mods (no lid, k&n)

I was there for the unveiling of this quad last week in Memphis. This should be a strong selling model for Yamaha.
And judging by the huge orders dealers are putting in for them, I am not alone with that theory.
It's worth going to the Yamaha site and checking out the stats on this bike even if you arent a fan of entry level and small bore sport quads.
Yamaha reps at the show were boasting a good bit about this quad's performance. Considering it weighs just over 300lbs and having a modified TTR derived engine,....it at least sounds fast on paper. Time will tell.
Either way,...it should be one cool ride for anyone interested in racing the 200cc-350cc sport class next year.
