Picked up a 1999 Kadiak 400 4x4 and need to locate the VIN # looked at the frame and seen nothing ? Need a common location ? There was just a model # sticker under the seat but that`s all i came up with . No Title only a Cert of purchase from a private owner, He said last owner gave him the same thing who was original owner and never titled. ( ODD YES BY THE TIME I DROVE TO GET IT THEN HE TELLS ME THIS, QUITE A DISTANCE AND WAS IN NEED OF A QUAD)Want to start the title process so I can back my investment! Sorry for the length just looking for help?

 

It be at the left side (drivers side) of the frame on the bottom frame rail. It will be right behind the wheel, and right about where the Footrest starts. It will be stamped into the frame...

Also.. Titleing a Quad??? What state do you live in.. I have never hear of getting a Title for an ATV... Motorcycle yes.. ATV.. Nope

 

Hey CRAZY thanks for your assistance. I live in Ohio and was told from a bud that i needed a title to get registered If it`s not true steer me right.

 

I live in NY and yes we do need the title and bill of sale to get it registered $10.00 a year in NY

 

same here in MA, iv actually never really heard of not needing a title to do anything. lol

 

Mass needs a Certificate of Origin if bought new - which is NOT A Title... Normally a bill of sale is enough... Even though I live in Mass.. I don't register there... Mass S$u$s
MAss isn't getting my money for the sales tax for a vehicle I bought in another state...
