Default New project...YFZ600RR?

Alright look i just seized the engine in my 04 YFZ.I was wonderin if anybody had a ballpark on how much it would cost total to drop a crotch rocket engine my bike?

It depends on if you plan on doing most of the work yourself. If you look around you can usually get a motor pretty cheap. I paid 600 for a 929. Now the fun part is finding out what you need to do to the frame to get it in there.

Another thing is where do you plan on riding it. A streetbike motor is kind of hard to ride anywhere besides drag and hillclimbs. Unless you try to put a v twin in it.

LOL yeh they are not as much fun as people think they are. The only thing its really good for is hillclimbs really. Leave in second, hit the breaker shift to 3rd in the air and hang on and hope for the best up the hill.
Dragging the machine isnt much fun because an atv gets VERY unstable when you get close to 100mph, and thats like the end of 4th. Still 2 gears to go!!

sounds like it would be sweet but like fulltilt said you should really think about this for a second do u want a biek you can ride anywhere or a bike strictly for drag racing good luck with whatever u decide and if tyou do end up doing this please put up pics
