#1
i just got a 13 to 1 high comp cp piston, should i change the rod? if so whose is the strongest/best? besides that what else should i get to make sure this motor runs good and strong every race?

New rod is certainly recommended for high compression/high rpm, large bore builds. Best chromoly rod is Barker's but for the price of a new rod and install you can get a whole hotrods stock stroke crank.
For a little less than twice the price you can get into the 4mm stroker cranks.
C12 is up to 85 bucks per 5 gallon can here.
