A new intake boot is only $25. The heat from the motor will turn the tape into a sticky mess. If you really don't want to buy a new one, many layers of high temp RTV can be used.. I have only done this when OEM/NOS parts were hard to find.

Is there a difference between this "Nascar" duct tape, and regular duct tape? LOL
