My daughter has a 2002 Blaster, it ran fine last time she rode it, but won't start now. Changed the plug, still not firing. I checked the plug wire, the kill switch, the key switch, and all the connections. Everything looks good. The guy at the bike shop told me there is no way to test things. Doe sanyone have any suggestions, or has anyone else had this problem? She is getting anxious to get going.

 

Ive got the same problem with my 04 yfz. I checked all the connections with an ohm meter and everything is fine but I cant pick up any current through the spark plug wires...im not familiar with the blasters ignition system but if you have a coil it may be bad...

 

have you tried you CDI magneto ,CDI unit and or your ignition coil it could be one of these things, the guy at the bike shop is wrong he was probbaly one of those lazy guys that doesn't wanna help anyone anyway get a book thats for the service,repair,and maintenance for the yamaha blaster 1988-2005 the book is made by clymer has everything for this with troubleshooting and helps you with testing also the book costs $32 on amazon i didn't really look around for you but thats just to give u an idea hope this helps
