I have a FMF turbine core 2 silencer and was wondering how often you have to repack it? Also I was talking to my friend and he said that you have to clear the carbon out of it every so often other wise you will lose performance. If it helps he described it as opening up a screw on the bottom of the silencer, turning the engine on and revving it with a cloth on the end of the silencer and it blows out the carbon. Does this have to be done on my silencer or do i just have to repack it once in a while? Thanks for your help.

It sounds as if your friend has a recon. On the recon, you do have to do that every so often. But on your pipe, I don't think so. Your friend is very smart. Watch out, if he ever gets his 250EX, he'll be smokin you! Better get that engine re-bored!!! Maybe you could help him shine up his throttle cover too someday.

Ya, I know, I am his friend that he was talking about. I was just joking with him. I know a stock 250EX couldn't beat a piped blaster, but a modified 250EX on the other hand........
