I put an ex. chamber and a silencer on mine along with an air filter. I rejetted the carb to go along with my mods so that it wouldn't be too lean. That really woke up my blaster. The pipe gives you way more power all throughout your rev range. If you put a pipe on it you won't be dissapointed. The reeds give you more off idle power and some throughout. I'd put on a pipe and see what you think.

of course you would need a jet kit, otherwise..well...it'll break...
if you get a pipe , reeds , and a new air filter, you will be set as far as breathing goes...

no but if you are letting more air out (via the new exhaust), it only makes sense to upgrade to a after market filter in order to let more air in. if you are already running a k&n, or uni, or any other after market filter, you dont need a new one. an after market filter will complement the exhaust, and together you will notice a bigger power increase.

Engines are glorified air pumps. The more air you can pump from a smaller engine the more power it has. Lots in and lots back out = HP.
