Default Blaster Problem

I have a 2002 yamaha blaster that i just bought. it has a big bore kit on it. I had to do some things to the stator and the clutch when i got it. i got it running but it will not idle. i have checked the carb for fuel and it is running fine. I took to carb apart and cleaned it as well. I also took the air filter off and cleaned that but still no luck. I do not think that the quad is getting all of the power it can it bogs down in first gear but when i get into a higher gear it takes off. Does anyone have any idea what i can do. I have tried all I can think of but maybe i am overlooking something.

Thanks

The ignition timing might be off enough to not let it idle but when you get into the higher rpm it will run fine. You might double check your stator and all that's going on in that area. The only other thing I would've suggested would be the carb. but you cleaned it so I really am just guessing here.

if a blaster carb has an idle speed screw make sure it is in proper adjustment. maybe its not turned up fast enough. or check your idle mix screw if there is one, make sure it is in proper adjustment. i dont know alot about blasters, but thats where i would start.
