Default Are rhino's safe?

I am considering buying one for me, my wife and our 3 yr old daughter. I have seen after market seats for the dump bed and thought my little girl would love ridding back there but, Are these things safe? has anyone rolled one if so how easy is it to do it? Would installing a set of offset rims help with stability?

We sure like ours. You can buy all kinds of accessories for the Rhino but you'll pay a lot for them. Your best bet may be to look at a Ranger. You, your wife and your daughter will all fit on the seat. It's more like a golf cart seat than buckets like the Rhino.

Wheel spacers may be cheaper than offset wheels. They are also not as perminent in the event that you may want a narrow wheel base for some reason.

Please be sure to keep arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. That can be hard to do when instinct tells you to stick your leg out and catch yourself when a Rhino starts to tip over. There have been injuries reported with Rhino's, and they are not totally idiot proof. I personally think they are less roll over prone than a utility ATV, but it depends on the rider I suppose, because you cannot shift your weight to compensate with a Rhino, so you compensate with your driving instead. A wider stance helps with stability, whether it is acheived with wheel spacers, wheels with more offset, or longer a-arms. And there are lots of safety items for a Rhino, like the roll cage and doors used on the Rhino in this video They are what you make out of them to some extent. The driver of that Rhino walked away from the crash unhurt.

i went out ridding at the beach few weeks back. and they are becoming more and more populare. but i noticed that the people who most likely to have a roll over were teens. they were driving them fast and taking the turns. sometimes 2 wheels came of the gound. i rode one, and i want one too. but as for rolling over, i think this. it all has to do with the safety of the operator! yea the side by side has its own physics but like anything else, it is all in the operator!

The Rhino has 5 way preload adjustable shocks front and rear. It also has tires with adjustable air pressure. Take the time to calibrate them to your preference, keep your arms and legs inside the roll cage; wear a helmet, drive with sense; and you'll be fine.

They're only prone to roll over if you're an attorney.

Give me ANYTHING and I'll find a way to roll it.

If you drive it in a safe manner, you are much less likely to have any danger issues with it. Drive it like hell when the wife and daughter are watching from afar.

And yes, I've rolled a Rhino. Only on it's side, and it took a lot of work to do it.

WOW, with the proper rollcage, harness and doors, that video PROVES how safe the rhino is. i dont think many people would crash a rhino like that. keeping your limbs inside is the best advice, as DesertViper said!

That video above is a must see, I'll repost the link so you don't have to go back up and find it.
