even though its "illegal" for you to ride the raptor 350 (13 years old), i would get that. if it feels big to you, you will grow into it very quickly. the power isnt so great where you wouldnt be able to handle it, expecially if you have been riding for a few years.

Out of the 3 you mentioned, the 350 would be the better choice. You would probably outgrow the other 2 pretty fast.

Good but how does the 250 compare to the 300ex on power?

I would recomend the 350. Thats what I have and i'm the same age, shorter and a little heavier and i feel good on it. I just didnt like the bars so I got renthal bars. I just didnt like the stock bend but besides that i like it. cant answer your power question though.

I know that the 350 and 300 are considerably heavier machines but does anyone know the power to weight ratios compare on all three and how much does the 60 pound weight difference affect the performance?

there's already a gytr pipe and filter- so you should be good for now..... cam and piston should come soon, it shares the engine with a freestyle on-road motorcycle that yamaha sells in japan, so if you find out that model name- you might be able to find aftermarket pistons, but the cam wouldn't be that great cuz the cams in atvs that used motorcycle engines are always modified to make more low and mid RPM power

60 lbs more weight is quite a bit for just another 100cc. I think I'd ride them both and decide for yourself which you prefer, although I think I'd lean in the direction of the 350. Even the bigger 350cc machine should be ok for an experienced 13 year old though. My oldest son was on a 400 EX at twelve, and winning his first desert racing trophies on a YFZ 450 when he was 14.

Japanese donor bike is called a "Trickster" I think.
The 250 is going to be an awesome machine.
