Why? All the serious 450 engines are derived from there 450 motocross counter parts . The Ktm 525 Motocross is the fastest stock Motocross bike made and NO Motocrossers on earth uses EFI. If EFI had a racing edge over the carb you would bet the Pro Motocross circuit would use them in a second.

EFI is heavy- thats why they dont use it. Except for the RM-Z450 now for 2008.

And KTM is not the fastest MX bike. ATK700 2 stroke will be MUCH faster. I wouldnt even consider either of those mx bikes though because they arent 450's. I'm pretty sure the crf450r is the fastest bike because of its handling and still having nice power- 50hp or something.

However, the fastest MX bike now would be the aprilia MXV4.5 twin. 60-65hp STOCK.
