If you have a good strong bumper on your Camry you could tow it with ease , i don't know what the bumper strenth is on your Camry so i couldn't say for sure about towing with a bumper mount hitch ; but if you install a good frame mount hitch like a Reese or Drawtite 2 inch reciever type ! Both the Reese and Drawtite 2 inch Reciever type's are 2000 lbs tow weight and have a 600 lbs touge weight , you would have no trouble at all towing with either one of these ! I use to pull an old 1950 ford truckbed trailer loaded with my old 86' Honda TRX 350 Foreman fulltime 4x4 that weighed 596 lbs. plus the weight of the truckbed trailer weight was about 200 to 250 lbs. ; with a 1974 or 1975 Dotsun 610 station wagon and it had a four cylinder engine in it ! The Dotsun wagon had the big four cylinder engine in it , if memory serve's me right i think the engine size was the 1800 something four cylinder with the carburator instead of EFI ; it didn't have an automatic transmission in it though but a fourspeed manual floor shift it pulled the truckbed trailer and the quad without any difficuity at all ! But it had a very strong rear step bumper on it with just a 2 inch bumper mount ball hitch ! The Dotsun towed the trailer and the Foreman with ease , and if the top had been chopped just behind the bucket seat's and had a modified flatbed on the back like i've seen other's converted before it would've hauled another atv on the Dotsun's back with no problem either ! When i traded for a fullsize 1976 Dodge Ram full size shortbed pickup with a slant 6 in it , but it had a 4 speed manual shift also with the sport suspention and i hauled my 86' Foreman in the bed of the Ram p/u and my cousin's 1989 Suzuki LTF 4WD that weighed close to 400lbs. with bumper mount ; also with ease but wasn't an automatic transmission either ! But if your Camry has the V 6 with direct port fuel injection , you won't have to worry about pulling a trailer with your quad as far as engine power ; even though i don't know how much your quad and trailer weigh's with a good strong reciever type frame mount 2" hitch reciever ! And by the way i have a 1987 Chevy S10 Tahoe longbed with a bumper mount ball hitch on a heavy duty step bumper , the S10 has a 2.8 liter V6 EFI THroddle body and i hauled the Foreman and a 5x8 foot trailer with a 1993 Suzuki LTF4WD 300 King Quad on the trailer ; but the S10 has a THM700-R4 automatic overdrive transmission in it ! And the 2,8 liter V6 throddle body EFI , has 2 time's the power of my 1988 GMC Jimmy 4x4 MPV that has a 4.3 liter throddle body EFI with THM700-R4 automatic overdrive transmission ; and it has a Reese frame mount 2" reciever type hitch ! I would check out the bumper strenth before puting a ball mount to the bumper , but as i said i don't know how strong your bumper is so you would have look it up in your owners manual of your Camry for towing capability ; or go with a Reese or whatever brand it's your choice as to the reciever ! ...........

Now wait just a minute.. you are not getting the optimal gas mileage with that Prius by towing with it... and not for nothing.... there doesn't look like there is much clearance over the rear wheels.... I am sure you don't want to hit too many bumps...

Very true, it hurts my mileage by 5 mpg . normally get 51 mpg when towing only get 46 mpg
But I can live with that.
The distance from the wheel only drops about 1/2" or less with the loaded trailer.
It goes down farther when I have a couple people in the back seat..
I can't wait for the hybrid pickup that is planned.
