Default Question on a Banshee

My friend is looking at a banshee and the guy that has the banshee just had fresh rebuild done. It is bored .30 over, has a K and N filter, and has the TORS removed, and has been rejetted. I might be missing a couple things but the major was stated. The problem with it is that my buddy says that it is running really rich and he doesn't know much about Banshee's because of the dual carb. If anyone knows anything that could help so that I could pass it along to him. He is crazy insane about getting a banshee and he really likes this one but he just doesn't know what is causing it to be so rich. Thanks guys.

Default Question on a Banshee

Is your buddy new to banshee's or new to 2-stokes? Why is he saying it's running rich? 2-strokes will not burn like 4-strokes. If he's going by the smell and smoke he's making a mistake.

He's had other two strokes. He's just not used to the Dual carb of the banshee.

Well the most important thing was really left out. What pipes are on it? Stock or aftermarket ie Toomie, FMF, DG...

Default Question on a Banshee

being rich isnt to bad...you can drop your mains. being lean is a big no-no !!! does he have a air box or pods ? are his plugs dark ?? is it fouling his plugs. maybe he'S SHIFTING TO FAST...IF YOU GET OUT OF THE POWER BAND IT WILL FALL ON ITS FACE AND FEEL LIKE ITS RICH.

Hi everyone. I'm new here, and just wanted to let everyone know that this post was a life saver. I would have never found this problem. I just bought a 2000 Banshee and it would not run under 3/4 throttle. I switched the carb slides around and it now purrssss like a kitten. Now I just need to find out why the tranny oil is getting into the antifreeze.
