Default Question on a Banshee

Thanks for the reply. I was just getting ready to start a new thread about this. I already have the clutch cover off and the only place I can see where it could be happening is the O-ring where it passes through for the water pump. Does this sound like the most likely problem?

One other thing that I noticed is that if I take the radiator cap off it will shoot water right up in my lap just kicking it over. Could this be a serious problem or just something to go with the oily coolant?

The engine runs perfect, feels really strong, and doesn't appear to have any coolant getting into the combustion chamber, so I don't really suspect a head gasket or anything like that

Default Question on a Banshee

It just seems to run too strong to be loosing compression, but it also bubbles into the overflow tank under the sink as well.

Default Question on a Banshee

I had the same problem with my RM 250 and it turned out to be a seal in the water pump. I ended up doing it myself. it wasnt too hard

carb slides are probably in backwards, make sure the angle part is facing the airbox</end quote></div>

Hi everyone. I'm new here, and just wanted to let everyone know that this post was a life saver. I would have never found this problem. I just bought a 2000 Banshee and it would not run under 3/4 throttle. I switched the carb slides around and it now purrssss like a kitten. Now I just need to find out why the tranny oil is getting into the antifreeze.</end quote></div>

Damn you speedy.. you took away one of my backwords slide fixes...

ah i'm just messing with ya. BTW, Your icon doesn't seem to show up.
