I went to the Barnett springs. I have not had a slippage problem again. Barnett part number (MT-36-5) QTY, 5 springs, cost $12.00/unit.
According to the Barnett tech. rep. their springs have a 10% increase in compression, PSI.
Call Barnett out in Ventura,CA at 1-805-642-9435. They can tell you where your local Barnett dealer is located for ordering purposes.

If your interested in the whole kevlar clutch package, here is the information.

QTY. Part # Discription Cost
6 YPK-13 Kevlar Plates $60.00
2 YPK-25B Ball Plates $20.00
7 YP-15-12 Steel Plates $28.00
5 MT-36-5 Springs $12.00

Thanks DesertRaptor, I believe you are on-to something there. I wonder if the problems associated with the Baja racers were possibly related to the fading clutch syndrome? No clutch action, just jamming gears in and out under power until something breaks.
