Default question for all the motor fanatics

sorry guys i wasn't able work on my quad for the past month or so but anyways i did change out the reed cage and out in the stock. one the aftermarket v force reeds did look like it was cracked by the screw...anways i changed that out it seemed to wanna run but it doesn't saty running when we pull start it....so i cleaned the carb really good and if that doesn't seem to help i'm gunna get a new coil because i have an 03 blaster and we tested the spark and the spark loos a lot stronger on the 03 blaster and if that doesn't help i'm gunna take the top end and see if somethings wrong with it because theres a lot more compression on the 03 than there is in the one i'm workin on if you guys have any ideas or better ways to do this its greatly appreciated thanks

MIKE

#1 thing to do; like I said in the first post is the compression.

Like everybody else, I'm guessing on this. If you show me some compression test numbers it will take some of the guess out of this and put some facts in it's place.

Even then it's only a guessing game. Last race I was at I guessed wrong at an engine problem. It cost us the race because I was wrong. I was there and could touch the engine, listen to the engine, smell the engine and hear the engine. I still was wrong. I finally found the true problem and now we are in business again. I'm saying all this to let you see how hard it is to diagnose an engine problem over the net.

Get some true compression numbers and we will go from there.
