Cool. I use lithium on my buddy bearings on my trailer. I will have to grease everything the next time I use them. Amazing the tips you pick up on this forum.

Theres four grease zerks on the grizz's. If you found two then look above or below the ones you found and then you"ll see the other two.
Some of these came from the factory without any grease at all!!

I have an '05 Kodiak 450. It has zerks on the four driveshaft U-joints and 2 zerks on each side of the rear axle. With a standard grease gun coupler, I managed to grease the zerks on the right side of the rear axle and all the driveshaft U-joint jerks except the rear zerk on the front driveshaft. The manual says to take the ATV to the dealer for greasing as the dealer has special tools for the job. Is there some special grease gun coupler for restricted-access ATV zerks?

You"ll need a Needle adapter to grease the front drive shaft on the kodiak 450. I also replaced the stock zerks on the rear with angled one. There is no way to get to the stock ones. Theres no room to get the end of the grease gun over the stock zerks, As far as the front drive shaft,You got to get it in just the right position to be able to access the zerks. You do this by rolling her back and forth till you get it in the right postion. then use a needle adapter to get to the zerks. You can get a needle adapter for your grease gun from sears or any auto parts store. Heres a link showing what one looks like.

I put 90 degree 6 mm zerks on the rear axle.

However, using the injector needle in the U-joint zerk opening just leaks grease.

Am I supposed to stick the injector needle into a seal in the U-joint?

Also, I seem to have stripped the threads on a front bolt holding on the front plastic skid plate and can't get it back out.
