02 Raptor.. pro circuit t-4
Ok i just bought a 2002 raptor 660 and it has a pro circuit t-4 slip on and backfires(more of a pop without flames) on decel, now the dealers around my house claim its illegal here(michigan) for them to rejet a four wheeler, now from what ive read its to lean.. is this something that could be fixed without rejetting, like the pilot jet screw/idle system? ive used HEET because i thought water might of got in the gas but this did not work when i ran it through.
Help?
EDIT: it was sitting for about 1 year when i bought it, gas is NOT old its all replaced, and parking brake does NOT work(or there is no brake fluid for it) it works slightly but not enough to stop at all.
stock jet size on raptor is
140/145

Well i personally do not know how, without messing up the sync of the 2 carbs, but ive been trying to find someone who could help me do it.. i think the law thing was a way for them to get out of doing it.. the guy was kind of a jerk so.. i just wasnt sure if it might of been something i could fix without having to rejet.

You can try the fuel screw. Turn left about half a turn and try and if it still does it try another half turn.
If you put the pipe and did put in bigger main jets do it asap. It is a must. Calling it illegal is ridiculous because, if you don't you will burn you wheeler up.
